Architectural firm Et Si Architectures, based in Lyon, France, has carried out two projects using BauBuche.
The first project consists of two U-shaped bedside tables which were produced using BauBuche Panel and matt steel feet. A matching seat is available in the same design. The second project is a bench in the living room, which runs along the wall over one half of the room and imitates the architectural design. Its low height means that it serves both as seating and as a decorative room feature with space for a record player and books.
This was the first experience that the interior architects ever had using BauBuche: “We can certainly see the benefits in terms of the aesthetics, value for money and high strength values of BauBuche,” says Anne Delacourt of Et Si Architectures. The use of BauBuche opens up new possibilities in terms of furniture design: slender dimensions combined with high surface quality make the use of laminated veneer lumber in interior design a very interesting prospect. As Delacourt continues: “Our experience with BauBuche was very good. We are now considering new ways of using the material – it offers an enormous scope of application. And this keeps it exciting!”
