Le Blossom – the new Japanese cherry blossom restaurant

Construction Mévia Inc., Montreal, Canada

The new cherry blossom restaurant is probably one of the most beautiful dining venues in Montreal. Located in the Village quarter of the city, it is the latest project of renowned chef Dan Pham who describes Le Blossom as a sake bar. Instead of traditional Japanese sushi, the restaurateur intends to serve “Montreal sushi”, a fusion concept that includes a wider range of sauces. In addition, Le Blossom offers its guests a choice of top-class sakes.

Project information

At Le Blossom, it is not just the food that stands out. The restaurant was designed by Guillaume Ménard of Atelier Mainor using neo-Japanese décor elements inspired by the 1982 film “Blade Runner”. Its interior is dominated by a huge cherry tree. The bar counter and benches are made in BauBuche Panel. When designer Guillaume Ménard learned about this new laminated veneer lumber product, he was instantly won over by the sturdiness and the natural, attractive look of BauBuche and knew that this was the material he wanted to use for the interior of Le Blossom. Take a seat at the 28-seat bar and enjoy a large selection of fresh sushi rolls, sashimi, udon noodles, soups and salads as well as delicious tempura variations.
