Project information

In order to finally complete the church, an investment of €11 million was needed – the project was financed by private donations and loans. The results of three years of intensive work can be seen for themselves. Architect Pierre Douillet has successfully preserved the original character of the church will giving it a modern, puristic appearance.

The interior facades, glass windows and seating for 1500 church visitors were redesigned. The pews were made from BauBuche panel by Schreinerei Stella (Mazamet) to the client’s full satisfaction with the attractive choice of materials. ‘We recommended BauBuche in order to set ourselves apart from the competition,’ said M. Puech of Schreinerei Stella. ‘Together with our research department, we have managed to harmonise the BauBuche with the style of the building. The grey tones were an important element in our selection of the wood. So the furnishings provide a unique and restrained atmosphere works especially well with the light of the stained glass windows.’
