When it comes to natural construction materials, timber house specialist Gebr. Schütt KG based in Landscheide-Flethsee know what they are talking about. On their website, the company even claims that „Schütt is the new word for timber”. No wonder Schütt has upgraded their production premises with a new crane structure made in sustainable BauBuche.
After the local building laws had been amended to make the project possible, Gebr. Schütt KG celebrated the topping out of their new production hall where they will soon prefabricate timber frame wall elements on a huge new production line. With their new plant, Gebr. Schütt KG will be able to complete new homes in even less time and in an easy-to-understand manner.
The new timber construction also allows the company to demonstrate the technical possibilities of the natural material and was therefore an obvious choice. At Gebr. Schütt KG, even the crane track girders are made from wood. Given the huge loads these girders must carry, the company opted for BauBuche GL70 beams. With conventional spruce glulam, the crane track girders would have been much bulkier.
